Président – Michael (Mike) Lavoie, Operations Manager, Myshak Crane & Rigging Ltd
Mike has been active in the crane industry since 2003, when he began his apprenticeship with a small, family-owned crane company in Stony Plain, Alberta. He joined the Myshak Group in 2011 and currently serves as Operations Manager for Myshak Crane & Rigging, based in Acheson, Alberta.
In addition to his operational leadership role, Mike has played a significant part in advancing industry standards. He has co-chaired the CCRA Weights & Dimensions Technical Committee since its inception, contributing to the harmonization of regulations across Western Canada and improving logistics for all-terrain cranes.
Mike is also serving his second term on the CCRA Board of Directors, continuing to support the growth and development of the crane and rigging industry.

Vice-président Guillaume Gagnon, Guay Inc.
Guillaume Gagnon has served as Executive Vice President of GUAY since 2011 and has been involved with the family business since the start of his career in 2001. Over the years, he has developed a deep understanding of both the organization and the crane rental industry, steadily advancing through a range of strategic and operational roles.
Recognized for his perseverance and collaborative leadership style, Guillaume brings a strong long-term vision that supports the company’s continued growth and sustainability. As a proud member of the next generation, he is committed to honouring the company’s heritage while driving innovation and progress in every aspect of the business.
Secretary-Treasurer – John Woulfe, Barnhart Crane & Rigging
John began his career in civil engineering and project management in Ireland and the U.K., working on bridge and road construction projects where he developed close ties with the crane industry. Seeking to remain closer to home, he later became Branch Manager for a crane and trucking company in Ireland.
Over the next 15 years, John expanded his expertise in crane and transportation operations. As Director of Operations and Sales, he resumed extensive travel across the U.K. and Europe—often beginning his day in Ireland and continuing on to meetings across multiple countries.
In 2013, NCSG recruited John to North America to oversee the crane and trucking components of a $2.5 billion oil sands project. During this 18-month assignment, he demonstrated comprehensive expertise in engineering, crane operations, leadership, and people management.
John was promoted to Director of Heavy Lifts in 2014 and later advanced to Vice President of Business Development. Following NCSG’s acquisition by Barnhart Crane and Rigging, he continues to serve as Vice President of Business Development, Canada.
Président sortant – Ryan Long, President, A.W. Leil Cranes & Equipment
Ryan is completing his second term on the CCRA Board of Directors. During his tenure, he served as Chair of the Membership Committee and played a role in the development of the Standard Terms & Conditions template for members, the Canada-wide industry survey and hosted a record-breaking conference in Halifax, June 2-4, 2026.
With nearly 25 years of experience in the crane and rigging industry, Ryan has built his career from the group up, graining practical, hands-on expertise that continues to shape his leadership approach. He is the President of A.W. Leil Cranes & Equipment, a leading Atlantic Canada crane rental firm with operations across five branches in the region.
Ryan is recognized for his focus on safety, thoughtful planning, and delivering practical solutions to complex lifting and transportation challenges. His collaborative leadership style and commitment to strengthening the industry have made him a respected voice within both his organization and the broader crane and rigging community.
