BC Removes 1000 kg restriction on adjacent axles for ATCs
Regina, SK – January 12, 2024 – BC Transport has announced further significant changes to the weights and dimensions policy, specifically Chapter 5, pertaining to All-Terrain Cranes. These changes have resulted from the efforts of the CCRA Weights & Dimensions Technical Committee.
Major Changes to B.C. All-Terrain Cranes Policy
Montreal, QC, December 6, 2023 – BC Transport has announced significant changes to the weights and dimensions policy, specifically Chapter 5, pertaining to All-Terrain Cranes.
Weights & Dimensions Committee Update
November 1, 2023 – Formally known as the Boom Dolly Research Committee, the W&D Committee is currently working with the Western provinces with the goal of achieving a certain level of harmonization when in comes to All Terrain Cranes.

August 30, 2023 – The Canadian Crane Rental Association’s Executive for 2023-24 will consist of Chair Shannon Moir-Riendeau, fifth generation at Moir Crane Service; Vice-Chair Steve Anema, TNT Crane & Rigging Ltd.; Secretary-Treasurer Ryan Long, A.W. Leil Cranes & Equip. Ltd.; and Past-Chair Trevor Eckert, Sterling Crane.

BOD 2023-2024 Announcement
The Association is governed by a Board of Directors representing ten crane rental companies and three supplier companies. The members met at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, BC on May 18, 2023 and have elected the following directors to serve the 2023-2024 Board
Canadian Lift of the Year Awards winners
Vancouver, May 23, 2023– The Canadian Crane Rental Association is excited to announce the winners of the Canadian Lift of the Year Awards. The Over 20 Tonnes was awarded to Mammoet Canada Western Ltd. and the Under 20 Tonnes was awarded Irving Equipment Limited.
