Formally known as the Boom Dolly Research Committee, the W&D Committee is currently working with the Western provinces with the goal of achieving a certain level of harmonization when in comes to All Terrain Cranes. We are currently working with:

  • Alberta Ministry of Transportation and Economic Corridors to move the All Terrain Crane Pilot Project allotted weights into policy in time for Spring Ban 2024
  • British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure on removing the 1000kg per adjacent axles and reviewing dimensional requirements for All Terrain Cranes
  • Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways to improve permitting process and weekends procedures
  • Our work with Manitoba will begin in the new year.

We will be attending the National Task Force on Weights & Dimensions Policy Meeting on December 6th, in Montreal to solidify our relationship with each of the ministries leadership team and continue working on the current initiatives.
