What it means to join the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is formed of 13 Directors: 10 Crane Rental Companies and 3 Suppliers
Contrary to many other national associations, directors of the Canadian Crane Rental Association are responsible for their own expenses when attending a board meeting.
Election of new Directors happen at the Annual Conference, during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Members. The Conference registration, travel and accommodations are the responsibility of the directors.
Board Meeting
• A short meeting is held immediately following the AGM (20 minutes)
• This meeting is to elect the new Executive Committee and validate the change of signing authority.
On-Boarding Session
• This is a 2-hour virtual meeting for new directors held a month after the AGM
Fall Board Meeting
• 2-day In person meeting held in September/October in Canada
• Directors are responsible for their own travel costs, accommodations and one group dinner
• Spouses are welcome to attend activities
• Meeting expenses, breakfast, lunches and coffee breaks are responsibility of CCRA
Winter Board Meeting
• In person meeting held in February – US warm destination
• Directors are responsible for their own travel costs, accommodations and one group dinner
• Spouses are welcome to attend activities
• Meeting expenses, breakfast, lunches and coffee breaks are responsibility of CCRA
Spring Board Meeting
• 2-hour virtual meeting held in April

By sending your application to become a Director you must understand the financial responsibilities attached to your attendance of the Board Meetings.
Your information will be sent to our Nomination Committee for evaluation. A member of the Committee will reach out to you to discuss your application.
If selected, you will be invited to speak to the membership at the Annual General Meeting before being elected by the membership.
